This message is brought to you by Corporation Incorporated — where tomorrow (eventually) becomes today! Here at the Corporation Incorporated head office, we get annoying complaints valued feedback from truckers who feel like they just don’t get to do enough during a regular Galaxy Trucker flight. You know exactly where to put all your cannons, you know that it’s a bad idea to connect your cabins to each other, and even the deadliest meteor swarms just make you yawn. When all you’re doing is shipping sewer systems across the galaxy, life as a trucker can get a little dull. We’ve taken your feedback into account, and are pleased to offer you an exciting new commercial opportunity: the brand new VIP passenger transport program! While we have always promised our truckers a stress-free work environment by carefully obfuscating bravely protecting them from the complexities of working directly with clients, the opportunity for truckers to conform their ship-building to the demands of VIP passengers should provide just the new “adventure” truckers have been clamoring for!
So, how do VIPs work?
We’ve designed VIPs to integrate so neatly into the original game that you’ll barely have to learn (or teach) any new rules. There are 3 different decks of VIP cards, differentiated by their color:

When playing a game with VIPs, simply shuffle each of the three decks. Flip over the top card of each deck to see which VIPs you’ll be able to cater to on your flight:

Each VIP has a demand and a reward. In order to transport a VIP in your ship, one of your cabins must meet the condition described by the VIP’s demand. If you have an appropriate cabin, you can add a VIP astronaut figure to it instead of its regular two crew members:

If you manage to finish a flight with a VIP on board your ship, they may give you a final reward. Additionally, some VIPs even give rewards during the flight!Let’s take a look at one of the VIPs you could transport: the Cautious Rich Widow:

This VIP never travels without her dear Roderick. At least, what’s left of him. In order to add her to your ship, you’ll need a cabin that’s joined to a shield, a cannon, and an engine. If she’s still on your ship at the end of the flight, she’ll give you 3C for each joined tile as a reward. If she’s in a cabin with 4 connectors, she could give you as much as 12C for transporting her. There is one problem. If the Cautious Rich Widow detects the loss of ANY component joined to her cabin, she takes off in her private shuttle, forcing you to lose the cabin and ALL joined components instead. You see, you built this VIP her own escape shuttle, purpose-built to eject if any harm would come to her dear Roderick. So, just make sure you keep her cabin and its joined components very well-protected.As this example clearly demonstrates, earning extra credits from demanding VIP passengers is easy peasy!I need those extra credits right now! When can I use VIPs, and how many can I have? You can include VIP passengers in any game of Galaxy Trucker you play. And in those games, you can have up to 3 VIPs on your ship at once: one of each color. Of course, having all 3 VIPs on your ship means that you had to satisfy a LOT of demands…and may have forgotten to add enough engines or to look at all of the cards in the flight forecast. You’ll probably be fine. And remember, when Corporation Incorporated asks you to do the barely possible entirely feasible task of transporting VIP passengers, you’ll be sure to ask…“Do What?!”VIP passengers are just one of many terrifying exciting new features you can discover in Galaxy Trucker: Do What?! Tune in next time to learn about the hazards and thrills of “Missions!”
